Perhaps it’s the influence of the media and the web, but learners seem to have lost the quality of perseverance. Learning, as a result, is more palatable if delivered in small chunks. Because of this, we all welcome the new Qualifications and Curriculum Framework. The framework is a new way of recognising skills and qualifications. It does this by awarding credit for qualifications and units (small steps of learning). It enables people to gain qualifications at their own pace along flexible routes.
